Biography

Mary (Schoeneman) Vogel, 86, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Medical Center of the Rockies.

Mary was born January 11, 1926, in Bayard, Nebraska, to Henry and Elizabeth (Fegler) Schoeneman. She married Edward Vogel on November 30, 1942.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Alliance.

She is survived by a son and daughter- in-law, Randy and Debora Vogel of Hemingford; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Roy Dugan of Scottsbluff, Tracey and Danny Lopez of Cheyenne, and Pat and Dick Behm of Alliance; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, John Schoeneman of Scottsbluff and Gene Schoeneman of Alliance. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She touched a lot of lives on her journey here on earth and had a smile to share with everyone.

Her husband, Ed; parents; son, Edward Jr.; brother, Henry Schoeneman Jr.; sisters, Sarah Gabel, Christina Martin, Irene Pfenning, Anna Schoeneman and Martha Gabel and her great granddaughter, Amber Dawn Morris preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alliance with Reverend Martin T. Schnare and Reverend Richard C. Mueller officiating. Interment will be at the Hemingford Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1-7 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance.

Memorials may be given to The Immanuel Lutheran Church.
